At Reiffton, we believe that every child deserves an environment where he or she can learn and feel safe as a valued part of our school community. The purpose of Character COWnts is to build upon the pro-social skills taught in the homes of our students and in our elementary schools. The Character COWnts program, with a focus on caring, cooperation, and citizenship, was professionally designed specifically to meet the needs of the students at Reiffton.

Throughout the school year, all teachers will provide lessons and activities that teach students how to react to and prepare for a variety of events, with an emphasis on positive outcomes.

Family members can...

Begin to talk about the "3 Cs" and what they mean to you
Ask their child about the school lessons and assemblies
Model caring, cooperation and good citizenship in the home and community

Students can...

Listen and participate with an open, positive mind
Embrace and practice what is being taught
Take advantage of opportunities to be caring, cooperative and to show good citizenship

School staff can...

Demonstrate the "3 Cs" throughout Reiffton School
Present the lessons with fidelity
Provide opportunities to use these new ideas and strategies safely
