Exeter Senior Named Runner-Up in Berks County Outstanding Young Woman Scholarship Program

Please help us congratulate Saishree Mupparaju, a senior, for being recognized as the first runner-up in the Berks County Outstanding Young Woman scholarship program, which was held this past weekend at Kutztown Area Middle School. Saishree placed first in the Scholarship & Achievement and Interview categories, and received $150 for winning each, as well as a $1,500 scholarship for her overall placement. Saishree prepared for the program over the past seven weeks and was encouraged to do so by friends who had participated in the past. "I'm really glad that I took a shot because I've met some of the most amazing young women and they've become some of my closest friends now. I am so glad I was able to make those connections," she said.
Although Saishree hasn't yet decided where she'd like to attend college after graduation, she plans to use her scholarship money to help further her education in technology and law. To read more about her and the competition, please visit https://www.berksoyw.com. Congratulations Saishree!
