Backed by a strong infrastructure and modern equipment, our district embraces the tools of technology to deliver a 21st century education. Within the district, each student in grades K-12 receive a Chromebook laptop or iPad as part of our One-to-One Program, with younger students having access to Chromebooks as part of their daily instruction.
Moving beyond traditional chalkboards, all classrooms are outfitted with an interactive projector or a SmartBoard, which allow teachers and students to project lessons and educational media for engaging and collaborative interaction.
As we prepare today's students for tomorrow's careers, we've acquired cutting-edge technology and equipment to give students real-world learning opportunities before they graduate. Students use green screens, cameras, soundboards and microphones to create professional-quality video productions. Elementary-aged students teach robots how to move through simple programming and coding.
Students go places they never thought possible as they slip on VR goggles for virtual field trips or go on an e-Mission to solve a simulated crisis on the International Space Station with help from the Mission Control Team at the Challenger Learning Center. Students also have access to 3D printers, laser wood cutters and professional-quality photography, videography, CAD software and more to get a head start on learning the tools of a trade.
In addition to acquiring and maintaining the software and equipment that students and teachers use in the district, our team provides professional development opportunities to keep our teachers and staff current with the latest advances and updates. We also maintain the district's network and infrastructure to ensure its connectivity and reliability.
