A self-proclaimed political junkie who hopes to help people one day, junior Donovan Frymoyer received a rare opportunity to spend the day shadowing PA State Senator Judy Schwank earlier this month. During an all-encompassing day, Donovan spent time with Senator Schwank's communications director and chief of staff, toured the PA Capitol and attended a press conference before being introduced to the PA Senate in their chambers. Hoping to one day be president of the United States, Donovan would like to attend college at American University to study political science. Principal Tom Campbell was thrilled with Donovan taking his own initiative to contact the Senator's office and ask for the chance to shadow her. "We're placing a new emphasis on our internship program at the high school, and Donovan's experience is the type of opportunity we're looking to provide on a daily basis for high school students who are interested in learning more about a profession before graduation." Local business leaders who are looking for a student intern throughout the school year -- or students who are looking to intern at a local business throughout the school year -- can contact Mr. Mark Ricketts to learn more about Exeter's internship program by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 610-816-2471.
