Many common questions about the procedures for a Flexible Instruction Day (FID) can be answered by reading the contents of this page. Should you need help with your assignments, please reach out to your teacher(s) via email, messages on ParentSquare, or during designated online office times.
With the passage of Act 64, school districts in Pennsylvania were able to develop plans for Flexible Instruction Days, otherwise known as a "FID." A FID allows students to complete both an attendance log and all assigned work from home during a school day that may otherwise be canceled, such as when it snows or when there's a building emergency. These days are then counted as full instructional days to meet the 180 days of instruction that are required by the PA Department of Education. While not all snow days or emergencies will be FIDs, should the District choose to use one, we can do so up to five times during a school year. To help students, teachers will be available for questions and help during the FID by email and during designated office hours.
To be considered "present," students must complete assigned work. They must also record their attendance on the Google Form or by calling their respective attendance line no later than 10:30AM. Please find the link to the attendance form by clicking the button on this page to your respective building's form. You may call your respective school's attendance line if you are experiencing significant power or internet outages and you cannot record attendance or access and complete schoolwork:
